  1. i am a qualified environmentalist, a post graduate holder in geography also with 2 years of filed work and community interaction experience from Groundworks London. I am interested in any job openings you may have. Kindly revert to me on this.

  2. Dear Sir or Madam,

I have finished my BSc Geography degree program at the Philipps-University of Marburg in Hessen, Germany. I am writing regarding if it is possible to apply for an internship for 2 or 3 month in the space of time from February to July 2015.
After my basic studies in Geography for the first three semesters, I have developed a strong interest in physical geography, including Hydrology, Climatology, the Human Being and the Environment, Geomorphology, Soil Geography, and especially Biogeography. For this reason I chose to deepen my knowledge in physical geography.
Ecology and environmental issues are my passion and for this reason your organisation and your projects agree very much with my imagination of work.
I appreciate your taking the time to read my letter. If it is possible I would like to send you documents in support of an application .
I look forward to your answer.

    Yours sincerely,

    Anna Beyrle

  3. Hi,

I am a lawyer working for an MNC that functions out of the ELCOT SEZ, Solinganellur, Chennai. I would like to bring to your attention the below:
The ELCOT SEZ is built upon fragile wetlands that apart from performing its vital environmental functions, is also home to thousands of migratory birds that flock here every year. I have never seen anything as beautiful as countless flocks of them spending their yearly vacation right in front of my office, a joy for the eyes to behold during a day of boring work. Well, this was until the second week of April 2016, as the scene underwent a dramatic and tragic shift in a span of few days. By the next weekend, what was left was an non-recognizable strip of barren land, oozing and reflecting heat like a pan on a stove. The entire water was pumped out, apparently for yet another MNC to set up its offices at the location. The lease is for 90 years at a nominal fee. Its unbelievable that the government has given permission for something like this, and more so, after the unforgettable tragedy that Chennai survived a few months back at an area ravaged by the floods. This should not happen and I request your help in bringing this up to public notice and the authorities, if at all anyone is concerned. I have photos of the erstwhile wetlands and what is left now. I am ready to share these and assist with any further steps that we should take. Kindly let me know.

    Thanks & Regards,
    Tony Philip

    • Hi,

I am too working out of the same ELCOT SEZ and have witnessed the same. it is very sad to see the birds moving out due to the drained water. Please take some action on these.

      Thanks,
      Jayashree

    • Sir,
The very same issue in ELCOT, SHOLINGANALLUR IT Park as said the New MNC now started excavation works and dumping the clay into the another waterbody located near the westgate inside the ITPARK. As you stated they already close the waterbody for construction ,now destroy another wonderful water body ,in that also so many birds roaming for their food . Huge amount of excavated clay has been transported inside the IT Park spilled over most of the roads. The spilled over clay during rainy season causing frequent two wheeler accident near West gate . More number of people suffered. I just want to know is it statutorily OK dumping excavated clay into another marshland destroying that also. I think if any future construction came up in that land they have to clear dumped clay apart from ground clay They could not use the land without clearing the dumped clay . If that land also allotted to same MNC ,it is OK . If not the land is in the custody of ELCOT unallocated land then who is responsible for cleanup the dumped clay in future .What is the purpose of allowing the Mnc to dump the clay into the marshland . The clay if dried forming fine dust another hazard for the surroundingpeople
