First attempt to map and name the Pallikaranai Marsh
2003 -2007
- Project studying the impact of long-term biodiversity monitoring plot on livelihoods in Mudumalai Tiger Reserve
- Rapid assessment of the impact of the Tsunami on coastal ecology and wildlife in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Tamil Nadu
- Study on the status and distribution of the endemic and endangered Nilgiri Tahr in the Western Ghats of Kerala and Tamil Nadu
- Rapid assessment of the biodiversity of the IIT-M campus and Blackbuck species recovery plan
- Flood Risk Assessment of Chennai in collaboration with the University of Freiburg (Germany) and Loyola College (Chennai)

- Registered as Care Earth Trust
- Publication of book titled ‘Western Ghats: Biodiversity, People, Conservation’
- Publication of ‘200 + Plants of IIT-Madras’ and ‘150 Animals of IIT-Madras’ as part of Golden Jubilee celebrations

Care Earth Trust was awarded the prestigious Indira Gandhi Paryavaran Puraskar by the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change
